Welcome to Scotswood Village Nursery
Scotswood Village Nursery is a nursery based in the West End of Newcastle, which provides high quality inclusive care and early education for children aged 2-4 years.
In June 2018 we were rated ‘Outstanding’ in all areas by Ofsted. We pride ourselves on the high level of care and education children receive whilst in our care. Children who attend our nursery are provided with opportunities to access a wide range of stimulating and fun activities in order to develop and achieve. We have a lovely outdoor area and operate a ‘free flow’ system so that children have access to indoor and outdoor areas on a daily basis.
At Scotswood, we follow the Development Matters Curriculum Guidance to plan activities and tasks based on the children’s interests. We encourage children to develop at their own pace and take ownership of their learning. Two qualified nursery teachers work alongside nursery staff to ensure that children are able to play and learn in order to achieve their full potential and are ready for their eventual move to school.
